Did you ever consider that they might have other reasons to see you? Do you have other products that you make them aware of? (Not sell… make them aware of … there is a huge difference) Referral Generation
Do you have contact management software and know how to use it? Score yourself out of 10 for each of these, even if it seems a bit much like commercialism to you at this point we are just opening doors, analysing what you do and don’t do, to generate more clients. Then total the score finding your personal total out of 60. This will show you in numbers just how much of an opportunity you may be missing or not creating.
How to spot your ideal client in the crowd.
Creating a Customer Profile. We now have an industry or particular reading model that you like, with some basic knowledge on your market place, and we may have a vague idea of who exists in that market, who to fire our arrows at. Now, the next thing to do is recreate every single piece of communication that we have, with that customer in mind. You may have even have decided on two. For example, tarot parties and life coaching through the tarot. The way you communicate with your party clients is going to be different to the message you will transmit to your life coaching clients. When your communications land on the desk, in the email inbox, or wherever of a potential client, we want it to fit right in to what they are looking for.
STEP FIVE
This means everything we create from emails to webpages now has a better chance of being in a voice that talks directly to them. To their needs and wants. This action alone will have already 4 given you a greater chance of being heard by the right person. The good part for you is that this profile of your client, no matter how specific is actually a lot of people. But more on this later.

This is important… open your journal once again and make a list of the top 25 to 100 people in your locale. Not just celebrities, the most influential people journalists, thought leaders, potential clients, big-name bloggers and writers, potential partners, in tarot and related arts in your area, and a little outside your area. In fact be as broad as you like. This list will become important as we progress

30 Business Cards
Is your card printed on good quality card stock, if your card feels good to the touch, you immediately stand out. There is nothing worse than those flimsy paper things that are obviously printed at home. Other than your own appearance your card is the first clue as to whether or not you have a professional attitude. Therefore don’t use business cards with Vista Free Cards printed on the back. It will cost you less than a dollar to remove this. Qualifications? There is some argument and different thoughts about whether or not you should put your degrees and qualifications on your card. Some will say that degrees will mean little to your clients. If you’re a butcher I tend to agree, you however are a therapist. Personally I feel that a few initials after you name can’t hurt. It will help separate you from those Fly by Nighters who don’t have degrees or very shady ones. Or have simply learnt what they know…from a book

Your Website You should have a handle on your business card now, you no longer hand over an amateur card, you know your card not going to get better results. You’ve had time to think about your voice, your approach to products and the service you offer and you may even be on your way to designing a product package or at least thinking about it. Plus you are possibly well and truly on your way to making some networking contacts, you may even have had some responses, if you're really committed you have dates in the diary for when you're catching up with people. These days everyone needs a website, Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn an internet presence. It’s a given. If you don’t believe this, just have a look at how many tarot readers or alternative therapists have websites there are literally millions. So we are not going to argue whether or not you need one. When you give out your business card, in conversation and in your advertising you're going to be directing people toward your website. Your website like everything else you put out has got to do the job, convey the right message and turn internet surfers in to paying clients.
